The operation actions of the corrugated cardboard production line mainly include paper changing, paper receiving, longitudinal cutting and knife arrangement, tension control, and glue adjustment. The production speed and width of the tile line are getting closer and closer, with the main difference being the precision and convenience of the operating surface. Only by ensuring precise execution of each operation and reducing downtime can maximum production efficiency be achieved. So it is necessary to conduct classification testing through tile line operation items to verify the convenience of tile line operation.
1. Paper loading test: using the start time of roll changing as the testing standard
When producing corrugated cardboard, the first step is to install the base paper onto the base paper rack. The base paper runs through the feeding track to the middle of the base paper rack, and the base paper clamp is aligned with the base paper tube to work until the base paper receiving work is completed. This is one of the most frequently operated actions by operators.
Detection method: On site inspection of the paper loading process and time.
Testing tools: stopwatch, visual inspection.
Testing process: Use a stopwatch to time the paper on site.
The original paper holder adopts an expansion chuck, which can reduce the damage to the edges of the paper tube. The hydraulic lifting clamp arm is used, and the brake of the original paper holder adopts a four point type. The operator adjusts it through electronic buttons. The original paper is used alternately through two tracks, and the center point of the original paper holder is automatically aligned through electronic detection. If the tile line is configured in this way, the paper loading time on the original paper is generally less than 1 minute.
2. Pasting test: The testing standard is based on the time and labor intensity required for pasting
The paste making process is the most volatile and critical process in the entire corrugated cardboard production process, which has the greatest impact on the quality of corrugated cardboard. The traditional paste making formula is single, which is prone to inaccurate feeding due to human factors, resulting in unstable adhesive performance. The issue of cardboard adhesion is one of the most discussed issues in the industry, and the production process of making paste is a very important part. The quality of paste directly affects the adhesion quality of corrugated cardboard.
·Testing method: Check the glue making time and method on site.
·Testing tools: stopwatch, measuring cup.
·Testing process: Use a stopwatch on site to time the paste making process, use a measuring cup to measure the paste temperature and viscosity, and check the amount of paste made.
Some cardboard factories require about 68 minutes to make a paste, with a gelatinization temperature of 58 degrees Celsius and a viscosity control of 85 seconds. This type of paste quality meets the production standards for corrugated paper. The tile line is connected to the automatic pasting system and production management, automatically calculating the adhesive demand. It can process the formula function, historical data, real-time data, dynamic monitoring function, human-machine dialogue, etc. in the pasting system, which can make the cardboard production operation more stable.
3. Glue adjustment test: Compare automatic and manual glue adjustment to verify the accuracy of glue adjustment
Improper adjustment of adhesive content directly affects the quality and loss of cardboard production. There are two ways to adjust the amount of glue, one is manual adjustment, based on the experience of the operator; The second is to adjust through an automatic system, which controls the PLC through the production management system to automatically adjust the amount of paste based on the vehicle speed and the weight of the base paper.
·Testing method: Check the timing and accuracy of adhesive adjustment on site.
·Testing tools: Vernier caliper, stopwatch.
·Testing process: Based on different weight of paper and vehicle speed, measure the amount of glue applied, and use a stopwatch to time automatic and manual glue adjustment.
For example, the glue adjustment data for a certain tile line is as follows: the glue gap value is 0.13mm when producing 100g, and 0.28mm when producing 200g of paper. From the adjustment time perspective, the automatic glue adjustment speed can be completed in 1 second, while manual glue adjustment takes 5-6 seconds to complete. This reflects that the PLC configuration on the tile line has stronger control capabilities.
